Not all brands are alike, and I only recommend Young Living for internal use as directed by the bottle. Take the smell test between brands and you will be surprised at the differences in smell and quality, especially lavender. Young Living will have supplemental information on the label, and will tell you how to take orally on those bottles. I just read a story of a person ingesting a Lemon of another brand with disastrous results. Essential oils go very quickly into the body, and they also take whatever they are combined with them into the cells. I personally would not want any extra synthetic fillers, or synthetic chemicals being put into my body. These chemicals added are what can cause toxicity of the liver, and that it is why I ONLY RECOMMEND YOUNG LIVING BRAND. It is why many essential oil articles will warn against using essential oils internally, but they are basing this on another grade of essential oils. These warnings are not based on seed to seal pure, therapeutic grade essential oils.
Two exceptions: If you are allergic to citrus fruits, you may be allergic to citrus oils and oils that contain citrus. Since citrus oil is taken from the rind (which is a cold pressed oil, and not technically an essential oil), you might want to do a spot test with these oils first before using. If you are allergic to coconut or almonds, please read the labels and avoid products containing these ingredients.
